Request for Profile Evaluation

by NYC493 » Thu May 26, 2011 7:16 am
Hi!! I hear great things about your organization and I'd like to get a glimpse of your services via a quick request for profile evaluation.

I am in the early stages of my MBA application, but I'm on the right track. Here are a few highlights:

-BS Building Construction Management
-Minor Business Administration
-Minor Sustainability Studies
-GPA 3.29
-Undergraduate extracurriculars with leadership positions held
-Post-undergraduate extracurriculars with leadership position held
-Conversational in Spanish, working to improve
-GMAT not yet taken, but I'm confident I can reach 700
-3.5 years experience in construction management at matriculation
-Age 26 at matriculation

Post-MBA I have a clear and realistic plan to transition into affordable housing. This is where I am confident I can communicate a unique, interesting, and meaningful story to the admissions committees.

Based on fit (learning method, leadership emphasis, and course offerings), my dream schools are:

-Cornell Johnson
-Virginia Darden
-Georgetown McDonough

Am I on the right track here? How can I improve my application?

Thanks!!

Dear NYC493,

For the best assessment of your profile and insight into how our services might help you, I encourage you to request a free consultation on our website at www.stacyblackman.com. During the consultation, you will have a more personalized and in-depth discussion regarding your background versus the limited comments I can make on this forum. Based on what you did post, you have a solid rationale for an MBA and many positives in your profile. Without a GMAT score, it is hard to comment fully on your chances at any school, but I think you have identified some good programs for your goals. You have realistic career goals based on your past education and experience, which will be an asset to your applications. Thus I think you are on the right track and encourage you to keep up the research--including a free consultation.

Thank you for your interest in our services. Good luck,
Lisa
