The question rephrased:
T = list of 30 positive decimals
10 decimals are "even"
20 decimals are "odd"
1st decimal place even -> round up to integer
1st decimal place odd -> round down to integer
E = estimated sum of new integers
S = sum of T
Find E-S
Minimum 10 rounded up = add (10 * 0.2) = 2
Maximum 10 rounded up = add (10 * 0.8) = 8
Minimum 20 rounded down = subtract (20 * 0.1) = -2
The maximum 20 rounded down = subtract (20 * 0.9)= -1.8
[Mean = (2 + 8 -2 - 1.8)/4 = 6.2]
Answers A and B are beyond the minimum and maximum vales, so 6 is acceptable: answer B.
