Simply checking on on everyone to see how apps are going. Has anyone decided to apply in a later round?
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

Hey money9111 - Are part time applications qualified to be on this list? Or is it only for full time applicants?money9111 wrote:Simply checking on on everyone to see how apps are going. Has anyone decided to apply in a later round?
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

We can add part-time applicants to the list.beatthegmatinsept wrote:Hey money9111 - Are part time applications qualified to be on this list? Or is it only for full time applicants?money9111 wrote:Simply checking on on everyone to see how apps are going. Has anyone decided to apply in a later round?
The average at most places is 100. I think that should be enough. Some schools, such as HBS, 'discourage' applicants with less than 109 to apply! (probably because they are case method only)goddy wrote:Yes. Round 1 it is for me.
Thanks money for this thread.

The UC Berkeley Graduate Division requires that all applicants who received their degrees from countries in which the official language is not English submit official evidence of English Language Proficiency. This requirement applies to applicants from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and most European countries. This requirement also applies to US citizens who received their undergraduate degrees in these countries or regions. Only applicants who have completed a full year of US university-level coursework with a grade of B or better are exempt from this requirement.
Any ideas about how much is the acceptable TOEFL iBT score in Haas?
Thanks,
goddy

I actually have decided to apply next year. I didn't want to rush and send off a lackluster application.

Hi everyone,
I applied to Berkeley Haas R1 (Oct. 13th) as a reapplicant and received an invitation to interview Dec. 8th. I really thought that I wasn't going to receive an interview since most other schools notified me of an interview approximately a month after submission. I was ecstatic to learn when I did receive an interview.
My stats:
28 years old
740 GMAT
3.5 GPA from highly ranked public university
Information Science B.S., graduated honors and distinction
6 years WE at pharmaceutical industry, technology and project management
1.5 years WE at healthcare social enterprise
Target industry and function: healthcare entrepreneur
I haven't interviewed yet but will be interviewing with an alumna locally. I plan to prep with a former student and just rehearse plenty of times why Haas and why mba.
At this point, I'm waiting for a few other schools to return results but I'm very excited to receive an interview at Haas!
I thought Haas was one of the harder written applications because of the amount of essays and breadth of questions asked. When I reapplied, I redid all my essays to show them my commitment for the school. I think that paid off. I'm more than happy to talk offline to anyone about my strategies and experiences throughout this process.
Good luck everyone!

I went to an info session at Haas for the Evening & Weekend MBA program a few years ago but have not had an opportunity to visit any classes or even walk around the b-school when students are there. That said, I haven't gotten a good feel for it yet. I have, however, attended a diversity conference put together by Haas students which I found to be informative and interesting.dmateer25 wrote:Has anyone visited the school? As for the University as a whole, I go to CAL football games so I'm on campus quite a bit. I admire their school spirit.
