Hie all

After completing OG 12 and OG 11, i have just started with 1000 SC's. I am liitle confused whether the answres to the questions are correct or not because there are questions , whose answers in 1000 SC's disagree with the OG answers.

For an instance , according to the 1000 SC , the answer to question below is A whereas the answer according to OG 12 is D and hence my question is whether the answers to 1000SC's questions are correct or not.

2. A 1972 agreement between Canada and the United States reduced the amount of phosphates that municipalities had been allowed to dump into the Great Lakes.
(A) reduced the amount of phosphates that municipalities had been allowed to dump
(B) reduced the phosphate amount that municipalities had been dumping
(C) reduces the phosphate amount municipalities have been allowed to dump
(D) reduced the amount of phosphates that municipalities are allowed to dump
(E) reduces the amount of phosphates allowed for dumping by municipalities

shekhar,

1000 SC document is not a reliable source..Most of the answers are wrong.

If u have doubts in any 1000 SC questions, you can search it here.

For this question OA D only.Check the below link for the explanation.

Yes, there are some answer errors in those 1000 SC, but I have seen one thing that is important. Almost all the sentences are from OG and from GMATPREP.

If you lack any other good materials, you can practice with them. But be sure that you have analyzed every option. Your purpose should be to analyze and to know how to eliminate the wrong answer.

Only for this purpose--analyzing the errors in the wrong options---you can go for them.

If you have that much time, you can divide the 1000 sentences into 10 sets. Then go for analysis. If you can do the same as I have said, it may come in handy.

Thanks.
