I have good grades and a decent GMAT score, but am concerned that my previous decisions to change careers will prevent me from getting into a good GMAT program.
About me:
Female (U.S.)
GPA: 3.7 (social sciences degree)
College varsity sports
GMAT: TBD -- currently practice tests put me in the 660 range. Hope to hit 680-700 by the time I apply.
Work experience:
I taught public school for several years, then left teaching, worked in retail and customer service (was a retail manger) before starting a new career in non-profit marketting.
I am looking at schools ranked in the 20-40 range. (Such as Georgetown, University of Maryland and Penn State).
Good GPA/GMAT, but will my career changes hurt my chances?

If you score in your projected range on the GMAT then you will be a competitive candidate for the schools in which you are interested. You need to communicate your "story" as to why you changed careers. It will be helpful if your career changes make sense in light of your future goals. Try to identify a common thread/theme and use that to tell your story.
