So this was my third trip into the testing center...scored a 470 first time cold turkey...did a month and a half of solid practice, scored a 450. Frustrated, I decided to take it again this month in time for admissions, but really slacked off on preparation (Didn't touch a book for three weeks barely). Took it today, felt like I guessed on several questions, hit the report scores button, closed my eyes, opened them to see 630 on the screen. Still a bit shocked!

Quant felt worse, I was on the last 6 questions or so and was still getting integer problems. Verbal felt much harder though, but I knew I was doing well on it - ended up in the 92nd percentile.

Thanks for letting me lurk around here and gain some insight everyone!

dont you love it when you score higher when you study less? I too slacked off in my studies the 2nd time around a few days ago after my 1st attempt on sept 25 (didn't touch quant for a month... did about 4 hours total verbal in the 2 weeks before the exam).

Good luck with apps.. I am finding that essays and getting things organized is more difficult than the exam..

I think some of it has to do with being more relaxed and knowing what your facing as well. Congrats buddy.
