The short question:

Everyone know's a high GMAT can't get you in, but a low one can keep you out. But at what school does a high score help you the most?

----------------------------------------

And as it applies to me:

760 GMAT (1 attempt)
3.71 GPA at the University of Washington
Business Administration (Accounting), Business Administration (Finance), Economics
Licensed CPA
Rather lousy work experience as a non-big 4 auditor (started 11/2010).
No community involvement since college

What schools would you say overvalue the 'stats' versus the more qualitative stuff? I'm the type of guy whom we all read about getting rejected despite the high scores because he can't put together a good enough 'complete package.' (Already rejected from HBS this year)

Frustrating as hell because the whole reason I want to get an MBA is so that I can have more valuable work experience. It's quite the catch-22.

Okay, you dont have great work experience, but your GMAT and grades show awesome potential, and should make you a possibility at most if not all schools. You will have to work hard on your career goals and showing why and how you will succeed in those to transform your high numbers into admits.
