Ugh, the GMAT can be overwhelming at times. Sorry.
As far as whether or not you should apply now, that all depends. When do you want to go to B-school? What schools are you looking into? If you have time it may be worth making an attempt to get a better score after researching schools and creating a goal.

Hey Donald,
Sorry to hear about your disappointment. Honestly, scores depend on the school, but I can tell you that a score of 460 will be a significant obstacle at any serious school in this country. But no need to despair! The only lesson is you need to study up for the test. Take a class, read some books, and improve. You can get into a lot of great schools with an average score, and the current average is about 540-550. So aim to get yourself up by 80-100 points. You'll be glad you did!

Thanks for the encouragement folks
I will be re-taking the exam, but meanwhile I was thinking i will give a shot by applying to some universities as well.. Nothing to loose, except a few $
I was thinking of applying to the following universities for time being, unitl i give my exam in another couple of months:
1) Rice university
2) Rochester university - Simon school of Bussiness
3) University of Iowa - Tippie School of Business
4) Gergoia University - Georgia Ernest Scheller
would that be a good approach?
Again, you guys a great source of motivation!
Just one more thing, the break up of my score was (Q36, V20).. I think, I should concentrate more on verbal part of it?
Regards,
Donald
