Hi, I am going to give GMAT for 1st time. I have exact 85 days of preparation (have already spent 2 weeks of preparation). I have got myself latest edition of MGMAT books.

However, I want to know how should I plan my time more effectively to give my best shot. I would like to know:
i. How many days should I be dedicating in studying topics. Of which how many days for Verbal & how many for mathematics
ii. After basics, what should be my step 2
iii. When should I start taking mock test
iv. Which are the tests that I should take?
v. How many minimum mock tests should I target in how much time period
vi. Any other points to be considered

Also, if some one has any schedule tracker which worked effectively for them, than please do share it. Coz I believe these tools make it simple to track progress etc

I would be very glad to hear from you all!

Hey -- good questions. And, as you have probably gathered from other places in the forum, there's not one necessarily 'cut and dry' answer that applies to all people. The good thing is that 85 days is a nice amount of time -- others will take much longer, of course, but many others don't have as much time. But, as much time as that may seem, it is ultimately your most limited resource, and needs to be managed as efficiently as possible.

So, I'd encourage you to take a look at these two links:

They'll provide you with a nice framework on getting started.

Hope this helps.

The 60 day study guide is good check that out! It's good because it labels each quant and verbal topic. I think that helps for problem recognition on the exam, especially in quant. But I don't know man, everyone is different just do you. Jay-z said it best "stand on ur own 2, do your own things man"
