Hi All,
This is my first post here..
Firstly, I would like to share my GMAT experience which has been wonderful..
Took my GMAT on Nov 28, 2012 and scored 740 Q50 V39. Frankly, I started preparing in the last week of October and went for a week's holiday in November for one of India's biggest festival. First GMAT prep i scored 730 and that was w/o any study at all. This gave me some confidence and I aimed for something like 760-780. The only thing I would suggest is MGMAT guides. I personally did their SC one and found it very useful. That was the only preparation for me. Apart from them I took all their CATs and scored 720-760 in them. In fact I didnt even took the second GMAT prep and went to took the real one on Nov 28. AWA was easy.. IR was confusing and I could manage only 10 out of 12. Quant was the easiest I had done till that time. Verbal was tougher than MGMAT. Although I messed up in Verbal on 2 monstrous RCs which lowered my score to 740 (was aiming 760 min) but still no regrets as I prepared very little.
If theres anything I can help you people with, I will be very happy.
And I need ur help also: Here is my brief profile..
I am a Civil engineering graduate from India and have already done my 2 yr full time MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA, ranked 11th in FT Global MBA Rankings 2012)... i know many Indians think IIMA is the last frontier. But I need to explore further..
I have 4 yrs work experience - 1.5 years in designing structures for Oil & Gas Industry and 2.5 years in corporate finance division of one of India's leading private sector banks. Have above average grades, got scholarship in engineering, ranked 3rd, then ranked in top 50 at IIM Ahmedabad..
I am currenntly focussing on specialised Finance course like Msc Finance etc, at LBS, Warwick, Imperial, HEC etc. Dont want to do another MBA and spend too much.. want to settle in Europe
Any sugesstions are welcome..
Regards
