Need serious help

by moneyman » Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:35 pm
Hello everyone,
I have taken the GMAT 5 times now. It feels exhausted for not getting the desired score. The following are the GMAT scores:-

GMAT 1 - 450 Last year March
GMAT 2-590 Q 42 V 30 Last year November
GMAT 3-480 Q 36 V 24 This year April
GMAT 4-530 Q 29 V 25 This year May
GMAT 5-580 Q 44 V 26 This year June

After the 5th test I just wanted to jump from the test center because I was devastated by my verbal performance. I have had too many worse feelings after the tests because all I wanted was a score of 630 and nothin more. The following are the materials I used:-

OG 11
OG Math
OG Verbal(Partly)
Kaplan Comprehensive
Princeton review
Kaplan 800
Manhattan GMAT-Geometry
Manhattan GMAT SC,RC and CR.

I followed the manhattan techniques of diagramming for CR and the RC techniques of manhattan for the 4th and 5th test. Diagramming did not help me much and consumed a lot of time. I did ok on the SC as well.

I need real help on how I can increase my verbal score. I have an admit for the MBA program at Pepperdine University but because I dont have a strong GMAT score I did not get any scholarships. So I have decided to defer my admission for next year and write the GMAT one last time in December this year. It may sound funny but my target score is a 700 and I would not settle for anything less.

So, all said I have 6 months now and I need strong strategies for attacking the verbal section and some help on the math section as well.

Please help me guys..
Maxx
