USC vs Irvine with $$$

by victoryk » Thu Apr 29, 2010 9:45 am
I have been accepted to the USC and UC irvine MBA programs. I realize that USC has a great national network and overall UCI doesn't compare to USC, but I am receiving 30K from UCI which is starting to make me think. I am curious if the 95K+ USC program is worth it vs. now a 30K program from UCI? I would like to enter in to finance/consulting after I graduate.

Thanks for your input.

Did you get in anywhere else, or did you only apply to the California schools? If you have to stay in California, apply to Haas, Stanford, and Anderson. If you want to go this year though, and you're serious about finance/consulting, you should probably go with USC. Really reach out to current Irvine students and alums and just attempt to get a picture of how feasible getting the job you want will be if you go there.
