Hi,
Please advise if the significant accomplishment example can be from community service and the failure example be from work? OR does both examples have to be work examples? Please see below for the wording of the essay question.
P.S. I have a stronger community service experience than a work experience, and am leaning towards using the community service example but not sure if Santa Clara University likes the work example more?
Santa Clara University's application essay 1 is:
"Evaluate yourself, discussing your most significant accomplishment and a professional failure. What did you learn from these experiences? What changes did you make in your work style as a result?"
Thank you!

Thanks for your question. The way I interpret the question is that you must discuss a professional failure. The significant accomplishment, on the other hand, can be professional or community related.
If you have particular strong community service related accomplishments that demonstrate transferable skills such as leadership, project management, team skills, etc., then I think you should definitely discuss it.
I hope this helps.
