Given that: Bill peels 30 potatoes in 8 minutes
Target question => How many potatoes can he peel in one hour?
1 hour => 60 minutes
If he peels 30 potatoes in 8 minutes then he will peel x potatoes in 60 minutes
30p = 8m; xp = 60m (cross multiply)
8x = 60 * 30
8x/8 = 1800/8
x = 225 potatoes
Answer = D
Target question => How many potatoes can he peel in one hour?

If he peels 30 potatoes in 8 minutes then he will peel x potatoes in 60 minutes

Bill can peel 30/8 x 60 = 1800/8 = 225 potatoes in one hour.
Alternate Solution:
We can set up a proportion: “8 minutes is to 30 potatoes as 60 minutes is to x:”
8/30 = 60/x
8x = 1800
x = 225
Answer: D
