A computer equipped with signature-recognition
software, which restricts access to a computer to
those people whose signatures are on file, identifies a
person's signature by analyzing not only the form of
the signature but also such characteristics as pen
pressure and signing speed. Even the most adept
forgers cannot duplicate all of the characteristics the
program analyzes.
Which of the following can be logically concluded
from the passage above?
(A) The time it takes to record and analyze a signature
makes the software impractical for everyday use.
(B) Computers equipped with the software will soon
be installed in most banks.
(C) Nobody can gain access to a computer equipped
with the software solely by virtue of skill at
forging signatures.
(D) Signature-recognition software has taken many
years to develop and perfect.
(E) In many cases even authorized users are denied
legitimate access to computers equipped with
the software.
must be true

(A) The time it takes to record and analyze a signature makes the software impractical for everyday use.
Incorrect : Discussing whether software is practical or impractical is clearly out of scope
(B) Computers equipped with the software will soon be installed in most banks.
Incorrect : Installing the software in banks is irrelevant to the scope of the argument.
(C) Nobody can gain access to a computer equipped with the software solely by virtue of skill at
forging signatures.
Correct : From the last sentence of the stimulus we can logically conclude that skill at forging signatures is not the only criteria that would let anyone gain access to the computer.
(D) Signature-recognition software has taken many years to develop and perfect.
Incorrect : Clearly out of scope
(E) In many cases even authorized users are denied legitimate access to computers equipped with the software.
Incorrect : This cannot be concluded from the stated premises.

I would choose C
A- The stimilus never discusses practicality
B- The stimuls never mentions banks
C- Correct
D- It never discusses how long it has taken to develop and it never implies if it has been perfected
E- It never discusses the flaws and shortcomings of the technology.

A) Discusses practicality - not mentioned in the passage
B) Discusses use of software - not mentioned in the passage
D) Discusses period of development - not mentioned
E) The passage implies that it is difficult to forge the signature, I don't think we can conclude it would be difficult for authorized user to use it.
C) We can assume this by this line "the most adept forgers cannot duplicate all of the characteristics."
Note with the protection it doesn't mean there is no way to gain access as an unauthorized person (hacking, remote connection etc.)
