Hi All,
Sometimes while solving a P.S or D.S geometry problems about triangles, i have seen that angle measures are given and one of the sides value is given.
Can someone tell me if it is allowed to use the Cos, Sin and Tan values to solve the problem?

It shouldn't be wrong to use sine, cosine, tangent (yay, Socatoa!) because those are just math - they'll never be wrong. But I think it must be pretty hard to use those without a calculator so I don't know how helpful they will be.
So I think most people will try to find ways to solve problems without these measures but if you use them they will get you the right answer.

Trigonometry isn't tested on the GMAT. You should never *have* to use it. In fact, if you find yourself wanting to use trig to solve a problem using trig (or calculus, for that matter) it's a sign to you that you're overthinking it and need to bring it down a notch. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.png)
