Preference of a gmat score!!

by nishesh » Sat Jan 08, 2011 11:03 am
I am an engineering student currently in my final year. I want to work for 3-4 years and then go for an MBA. What I want to know is that whether it would be good for me to give GMAT right now or after 2-3 yrs. Like does university give preference to a recent score. Coz the score is valid for 5 yrs and so I can give it right now also ( will its value decrease with time??)...

Although GMAT score is valid for 5 years, few colleges prefer GMAT scores taken within a specified range ,such as within 2 years. Again word "FEW" is caveat here. Also, there is another thing which you must keep in mind. As you grow old , your aptitude ,stamina ,desire and available time for studying is gonna come down.
If I were you,I would have taken the exam with my 21 year old fresh brain rather than struggling with a 26 year old brain, which is torn out due to work and family responsibilities.
