Hi all,
I still cant believe how this can be....Yesterday I wrote GMAT for the second time thinking to have an increase in my previous score of 660, instead it went the other way and I scored a pathetic 560.... I have still not been able to come to terms with it. I gave the first exam in June.
My preperation was good last time, this time becasue of job change etc I had to move and stuff, so there was gap in studies, but even then last 2 weeks I studied diligently. I scored fairly good in my mocks both times. First time around in my Manhattan and Kaplan mocks I averaged aroud 640-680. When I gave the same exams second time after resetting, I scored 720+ in each. I discounted the fact that I was giving the exams for the second time, but even then.
I have 5 years of IT experience and my academics are very good. My dream school is ISB. Can someone suggest me what should I do now, wether there is still some slight hope left for me to get there. I am shattered and highly demotivated with the score.
Appreciate your advise.
Regards.
Dismal performance... 660 (47, 34) to 560 (42,25)

I know its moment of anguish and you cannot help it. I would like to reiterate words by albatross86 - "Your
GMAT score is irrelevant to who you really are, which is pure, innocent, intent-less Awareness. " and by
edwardsmichele - "Defeat should never be a source of discouragement, but rather a fresh stimulus."

To me you are a 700 material, and you have proved it in your mocks as well. It has just a BAD Day..
I was in a similar situation but posts/pms by several BTG users have revitalized my energy.

Soon, I am going to start to have one more tryst with destiny. Don't loose your heart..Believe in yourself..
