I had taken training for a month for GMAT in November 2005 but unfortunely couldnt give the exam. Now i would like to self study and give the exam by May 2007.
Please tell me what books do I need in order to start self studying for the GMAT Exam. I am aiming for a score of 720+.
I would also like to know that has "GMAT Review 11th Edition - Official Guide to GMAT" changed since 1 year. This is the same Yellow Color Official Guide from GMAT which has over 800+ questions and is of Blackwell Publication. The one that i have says October 2005 Release.
Do i need to buy any other books apart from the one mentioned above. A few suggesstions i thought would be:
1) Cracking the GMAT, DVD Edition 2007
2) The Official Guide for GMAT Review, 11th Edition (i have but its October 2005 release)
3) The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review
4) The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review
5) The Manual for GMAT, Princeton Review (2005 - i have this as well)
Thanks & Regards
Vish.

hey..great thanx alot...the jc-gmat blogspot is really informative and of big help......specially the article link u had sent....
but again....is the official guide for verbal or quantitative review really required....or only the OG 11th edition is good enough?
also if i would like to practice more tests, which ones should i buy...there are so many and confusing to decide that which one would be the best in order to aim for a score of 720+.

You need to take a practice test first and figure out
1) how far you are from your goal score
2) what are your specific strengths and weaknesses across question type and content area
Until you do that, it's tough to settle on a study plan. So do that right away, then come back here and post the results and your analysis of it - you'll get lots of advice!
