After 6 months of studying, a private tutor, and countless practice hours I took the test today and scored a "wonderful" 460 (31Q 24V). My goal score is a 680...so I am way off.
Right now I am pretty depressed but tomorrow I am going to dust myself off and begin an intense study period so that I am more prepared when I retake the test on January 10th.
Any advice on strategy and where to begin????
Timing is a major issue as I spend way too much time in quant. on the first 20 and have typically had to guess on the final 10. Below is a recap of how my scoring has gone.
PReview Ptest: 6/16/08 460 (32Q 22V)...without any studying.
PReview Ptest: 7/16/08 480 (33Q 24V)
PReview Ptest: 10/28/08 510 (31Q 30V)
MGMAT Ptest: 10/31/08 580 (42Q 29V)
GMAT Prep: 12/05/08 460 (22Q 31V)
PReview Ptest: 12/06/08 520 (35Q 27V)
GMAT Prep: 12/07/08 630 (43Q 34V)
Actual Test: 12/08/08 460 (31Q 24V)
I studied almost everyday except for the month of August because of work obligations.
Other books I have are Kaplan 800, Kaplan 2005 addition, Princeton Review guide book. I have downloaded a ton of material from this website and I plan on using it over the next month(I didn't really study the notecards that can be downloaded).
Again, I am looking for some advice.
Thanks in advance...

I started at the same score as you have. After studying for couple of months w/o any improvements in the score I joined MGMAT classroom course. My score has jumped 100 points but I still have a long way to go.
