the sentence must have admits (it is an organisation)

a. admits as members only women who can prove lineal descent -
hang on to it
b. admit as members only women who can prove lineal descent
admit is incorrect
c. admits as members women who can prove lineal descent
better than a, removes only
d. only admit as members women who can prove lineal descent
changes meaning with moving only
e. admits as members women who can prove lineal descent only
changes meaning with only

Answer is C

answer should be A.

Organization = singular = admits

In option C only is missing, hence A should be the right answer.

Daughters of ... already implies that women only and not men are allowed.

The sentence is trying to tell us that out of all the women "only women with descent" are admitted hence only is required.

The word - Only always limits the word it precedes. Hence A.
