135. Intar, the oldest Hispanic theater company in New York, has moved away from the Spanish classics and now it draws on the works both of contemporary Hispanic authors who live abroad and of those in the
United States.
(A) now it draws on the works both of contemporary Hispanic authors who live abroad and of
(B) now draws on the works of contemporary Hispanic authors, both those who live abroad and those who
live

Ans is B because
1) in (A) ...now it draws ... "it" has ambiguous antecedents
2) parallel clauses should start with the same word..both those who live abroad and those who live

IMO A.

'it' in option A clearly references Intar, the oldest Hispanic theatre company.

B - 'both those who...' is awkward construction

imo:B

has moved away ...... and now draws on

I guess there are three errors in A

1)a "comma" should proceed both..
2)not parallel
3) altered meaning- it doesn't seem to mean that".... those who live in the united states" talk about Hispanic authors

OA??

Everything that is being said is about Intar, so we do not require an 'it' once again.

I can find two contradicting views, but both Supporting the OA B!

Now this is becoming interesting

If I break the sentence....
In case of A,
1. Intar....it draws on the works of contemporary hispanic authors who live abroad
2. Intar....it draws on the works of those in the United States....

As you see 2nd part of the sentence is not making any sense just because of wrong placement of 'both'..Also in 2nd part there is no reference for 'those'....

This is solved in option B....

in option A:As "and" is not preceded by the comma so will not be followed by the clause.
1) clause1, and clause2 -correct
2) clause1 and clause2- incorrect
3) when we are having list of more than 2 items: i1, i2, and i3 - correct
4) when we are having 2 items: i1 ,and i2 - incorrect

parallelism is tested:
A)now it draws on the works both of contemporary Hispanic authors who live abroad and of those in the United States.
parallelism is dostorted

in option A)
it : is redundant(there's no shift in the subject, so there's no need for an additional useless pronoun).
