weaken questions

Is it correct to prove a premise is wrong to weaken the conclusion?
or the premises are always correct and should not be touched even to weaken?

Premises (or conclusion) are fixed and are not to be changed.

The whole trick on the Strengthen/Weaken questions is to strengthen or weaken the assumptions.
