I am confused between A & B.

I have read somewhere that DUE TO should be used only if it can be substituted with "caused by"
A uses CAUSED BY and B used DUE TO

Also DUE TO typically used after the verb "to be."

I will choose B.What's the source and OA?

A. Many accidents have been caused by careless driving.

B. Many accidents have been due to careless driving

C. Many accidents have been caused for careless driving.---Improper usage of idiom

D. Many accidents have been caused because of careless driving.---Improper usage of idiom

E. Many accidents have been caused with careless driving.---Improper usage of idiom
Thanks!

Many accidents have been caused by careless driving.

A. Many accidents have been caused by careless driving.

B. Many accidents have been due to careless driving.

The tussle is between A and B. As far as I know, the use of " due to" is correct where DUE TO CAN BE REPLACED BY "RESULT FROM".

In choice B... Many accidents have been RESULT FROM careless driving. This is fairly awkward.

Hence, choice B is incorrect.

C. Many accidents have been caused for careless driving. Wrong Usage
D. Many accidents have been caused because of careless driving. Wrong usage and Wordy.. Caused because
E. Many accidents have been caused with careless driving. Wrong Usage

I will go with A. Whats the OA.
