Well, I would suggest starting to look into schools where your GMAT lies in the 80%, plus into any schools you have dreamed about. Make a BIG list of all schools you MIGHT be interested in. And then you start your research: into location, school life, employment opportunities, etc. Which should hopefully lead you to come up with a "short list". And then, once you have taken your GMAT and have your REAL score, then you need to figure out your strategy.

I am Shantanu from India, I am planning to give GMAT this July (2012), but before putting an effort i would like to know which schools my profile can offer me at a score of 700 and what are those schools that need some more effort to tap and what should be the presentable score.

I am an Electrical Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, comes in top 10 colleges for Engg in India
CGPA - 7.9/10
Present Work ex - 8 months, Procurement Dept, Bechtel India Pvt. Ltd. By the time I will go for MBA my work ex would be around 2years and 2 months
Extra Curri - Cannot make you count here, but most recent: I hold the position of Vice-Chairman, Socials Committee, Next Gen Club Bechtel India.
Served a NGO by teaching financially backward kids for 2 Months.
I want to pursue my career in Supply chain Management or Operations to become a consultant in the field.
Do I have a chance to get into top 25 schools, which reflect placement in Consultancies like McKinsey, Bane, BCG.
