if x=2, y=3 then x(y+1) = 8 is even
if x=3, y=2 then x(y+1) = 9 (not even)
Not sufficient
From(2):
No info. about x.

y is prime and greater than 7. So y has to be odd. So, y+1 is even
So, x(y+1) is also even
