If a2(square)+b2=c2, a,b,c are all integer, which of the following is not the answer of a+b+c?
(A)2 (B)1 (C)-2 (D)4 (E)6

Ultimately in the quickest approach. Thank you!!

substitute 3,4,and 5 - positive or negative (Pythagorean triplets) and see what you get.

e.g. 3+4-5 = 2
-3 -4 = 5 = -2
-3 +4 + 5 = 6
3 - 4 + 5 = 4

answer is B)1
