In general, I trust all books coming from Manhattan GMAT. I can't comment on the CR or RC books though because I haven't had the chance to review them yet. I have however reviewed the SC book and it is fantastic.

Hi Eric,
Im planning to take my GMAT exam early next yr(Jan end -early feb). Im thinking to buy OG11, OG Quant & Verbal. Will these books be sufficient?
How abt thses books:
-Kaplan Math Workbook
-Kaplan 800 2007-08 ed
-Kaplan Premier Program with CD 2007 ed
-Princeton Review - Cracking the GMAT with DVD 2007 ed
I dont want to buy too many books as i not only have less time but also I'll end up getting confused. I've done engg. so i guess one referral book for quant n one for verbal along with OG11 will be enough for me. What do u recommend?
Looking for ur early reply,
Thanks,
molly

I think you're right that you probably won't need many quant books. However, think about adding the Manhattan GMAT SC Guide to your list, it's really great.

The difficulty level should be consistent. OG11 just has more questions for your practice.Ur_Sky wrote:Hi, I already have the OG Quant & Verbal, and they are very useful. I wanted to know in which way the OG11 is different. Does it has more difficult questions?

Hi Eric,
I'm going to start studying for the GMAT within the next couple of weeks. I've out of school for a while. I noticed that you recommend Kaplan's math workbook for someone who's been out of school.
What do you think of the EZ Solutions math books to refresh my math? Also, GMAT Cat has a math review.
Thanks,
Hip

Hi,
After going through some of the comments in the forums I have figured out some of the following material that will aid me in getting a good score (700+ and around 750). These are as follows:
a) GMAT OG REVIEW 2016
b) Manhattan SC guide
c) Aristotle SC,CR,RC Grails
d) Manhattan Quant guides
d) Manhattan advanced quant (please share your views on this)
e) For testing purpose using MGMATs, gmatpreps, gmatclub tests
Kindly let me know your views on this and how to go through these materials and if at all you could help me with a study plan of 3 months using these materials that would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Rahul

First, go get all three GMAT Official Guides. There is the general one (12th edition), and then the smaller ones for quantitative and verbal. They each have different questions, and you need to get as many different questions as possible. The Powerscore GMAT Critical Reasoning Bible and GMAT Verbal Reasoning Bibles that cover these topics Manhattan GMAT guides for these subjects .

Hey guys! I have checked the link for book recommendations but it seems to be not working anymore. Is there an updated list of MUST have books to score 700+ for the test?
So far the three books from the Official Guides and Manhattan preps seems to have pretty good reviews.
