Hi All,
I searched and couldn't find a comprehensive list of apps that help with GMAT study. Thought I put something together.
Below are my top picks:
1. GMAT TookKit (Best out there.. period.)
2. MGMAT Flash Cards
3. MBA Planner (from Clear Admit - really cool!)
4. MBA Ref (Good source of information on various topics that you'll see in BSchool)
5. beat the gmat Flash Cards.
6. Khan Academy (Offers video explanations to all the OG11-Quant problems - free, free)
7. GMAT Practice Quiz (From Veritas Prep)
8. MBA Admissions Predictor (Cool app from Veritas Prep)
9. MBA Podcaster (Another must have!)
Also, I am looking for apps that would give additional reading material to hone your skills in Reading Comprehension. Please let the community know about any apps out there that would provide challenging and abstract reading material. I have a few I use.
Again my tops picks - Reading Comprehension:
1. NYTimes
2. Business Week
3. Bloomberg
4. Economist
5. ???
6. ???
As I receive more feedback, I will keep updating the list.

Hey HJA,
Go Patriots! Check out the Veritas Prep blog (www.veritasprep.com/blog) tomorrow...we've turned Tom-Brady-vs.-Rex-Ryan into a GMAT tip, heavily weighted toward Brady.
This caught my eye because I was just talking to our tech team about our own iPhone app - Veritas Prep has a free app with >100 practice questions, and I know that a lot of my students and our instructors love it.
As far as Reading Comp improvement recommendations, I've been using The Economist's iPad app and love it, if only because it's an opportunity to look smart and worldly on an airplane...

Can't wait till Sunday for the game. What's up with all the trash talk! Seems like 45-3 wasn't humiliating enough for the Jets. It is going to be a war.
I forgot about the apps from Veritas. I have used them both in the beginning. I updated the list. One quick feedback though, you guys should consider adding the blogs to the apps, so that when I am done practicing I don't have to delete the apps.

Hey, thanks for that about the blogs on the apps - I love the idea. Scott@VeritasPrep and I end up writing a lot that we like on that blog, so I'd love to find more ways to get people to read it (as it is, my mom, my boss, and a few coworkers really seem to like it...).
Totally agree that the trash talk is really unwarranted and just kind of dumb. I guess that's Rex Ryan's whole schtick, though, so it's hard to go back on now. Brady's just an assassin - I love the whole "when you win say little and when you lose say less" philosophy the Pats have...he'll just absorb the nonsense and then commence picking apart the secondary. Did you see that article this week (someone told me about it) about how Brady often doesn't pick up when a defender has fallen down and the receiver is therefore open, because he's already processed the defense within a second or two of the snap and made his decision? Pretty neat - and that's kind of where you want to get with the GMAT...as you're reading a question you're already thinking about how you'll attack it, which options are available, where the sneaky trap may be laid for you, etc.
I love blending sports and the GMAT, but please just enjoy the game on Sunday and worry about b-school afterward!

Seriously, it does make sense. This is a great tip for time management. Once you already know where the land mine is, you wouldn't have to waste precious seconds looking for it.
I like the "HBR Reads" app for Ipad, but there are few (if any) 'challeging and abstract' articles. It's easy to read in general.
The GMAT Toolkit is definitly worth the money and a good combo with the OG's (error/time log)!

I've used multiple apps on my iPhone to study for the GMAT: GMAT toolkit (free version), Magoosh, BenchPrep, The Veritas app and the Acadia Prep app, but I wasn't too impressed with the content.
The only one that stands out from the crowds in my opinion is the LTG Prep4GMAT app. It works offline, has great rich content for both IR, Verbal & Quant. The best thing about the iPhone app is that it is free! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ltg-pre ... 55867?mt=8.
Has anyone found a better app (free if possible)? Please let me know, I'm always on the lookout.
