Advise Please

Hello All,
I am seeking an advise from you, please guide if possible.
As suggested by experts in my earlier posts about time management, I am working on that and seems to be effective. However, there are some issues which probably I would have to work on.
Let me elaborate:
Since last 1 year I am trying to study for GMAT but due to work pressure it was not possible at all, though used to find some time here and there - however not efficient. Now, as I have schools application deadlines coming closer for next fall and I also got my work project changed (at work place which allows me to dedicate time for studies), since last 2 months I am practicing quite well. Mostly, can dedicate 3-4 hours daily and almost 8-10 hours on weekend.
Here are some Prac Tests results -
After a long time w/o any proper preparation I took GMAT Prep 1 (14th July) -
560 (Q43 V24) - I saw I ran out of time for 7Quant ques and 4Verbal ques.
I studied over last 2 months, and took Kaplan and MGMAT prac test - 2 each:
Note I don't have Scaled Scores handy here, though I have mentioned # of correct ques I get.
1) Kaplan CAT 1 (9/1) - 590 [Correct - Q17, V22 | Silly Mistakes: PS-2, DS-3, SC-5, RC-0, CR-3]
2) MGMAT 1 (9/2) - 560 [Correct - Q16, V22 | Silly Mistakes: PS-2, DS-2, SC-3, RC-4, CR-3]
3) MGMAT 2 (9/8) - 570 [Correct - Q20, V20 | Silly Mistakes: PS-4, DS-2, SC-3, RC-5, CR-2]
4) Kaplan CAT 2 (9/9) - 590 [Correct - Q19, V19 | Silly Mistakes: PS-4, DS-2, SC-1, RC-3, CR-4]

All of the questions which I get for Kaplan are Medium - High Difficulty level, and those for MGMAT are 600-700/700-800 level. Rarely except 1 or 2, no ques comes below this level. Also, from the first attempt when I got poor on SC - I specifically focused on it to improve and now I am consistent on it - hope it remains(get 10 or 11 out of 15 in last 4 pracs).
Anyways, when I analyse wrong questions, I hide the answer first and try to solve it again. In this process, I usually get couple of questions easily and notice (as compared to how I tackled the same ques during the exam) that my concentration was NOT better when I solved it during the exam.
So eventually, I see that if solved more carefully and with more concentration I could get on an average 3 more questions correct per section viz (PS,DS,CR,RC,SC).
To overcome this concentration issue, I have started meditating since 2 days - so that I can focus more.
I have GMAT scheduled on 10/6 - 24 days from now. I would like to know whether getting 10-12 questions more correct will sufficiently gain me those must 100 more points on GMAT score, looking at the difficulty level I am solving problems.
Is it possible to make the change happen in next 24 days?
I am not sure how much time it will take for me from here to be better my score and mostly to keep it consistent.
Would you suggest to postpone exam say like 2/3 more weeks?

Colleges I would be applying has 1st deadlines by end of October or 1st week Nov, however next deadlines are in Jan'2014. Does applying in 2nd round make any difference for my candidature? And how are the chances in second round?

Appreciate A Lot your valuable suggestions!!

Apply when your application is strongest, so 2nd round is fine. Just don't apply after that.

Also, I think you're devoting too much attention to the number of incorrect responses. It's more important to pay attention to the difficulty level.

Lastly, it will be very challenging to increase your score by 100 points in only 24 days. However, an additional 2 weeks still might not be enough time. I recommend that you continue a quality study regimen, and remember that you can always take the test again if you need to.

Thanks NextGreatLeader for the suggestion!!

Might be I am devoting too much attention on the Incorrect responses, as I see most of them are Silly Mistakes. Silly in the sense I mean to say with regards to -
1) Simple Calculation mistake
2) Missed picking 1 value - particularly DS questions.
3) And mostly on CR/RC, overlook a word or miss it which totally changes the way of answer.
Anyways, As I said, my difficulty level is between Medium - High only; doesn't it seem that if I get these correctly, it will reflect a lil bit change in the overall scores.

Above all, I do not want to extend my MBA plans more either. As I already have 5 years full-experience now, do not want to stretch more and have to switch over.

Per your response, I do feel that I should extend my exam anyway.

Can Experts tell me what should be my strategy here onwards? And how much it will affect the overall score? Or do I need to improve difficulty level as well?

Finally, I postponed my exam a month later.
I am now concentrating more on my weakness (as evaluated from 5/6 pracs) and also on the difficulty level (as per the level increases in OG). I have a study plan for the next 46 days.
Please guide whether my approach is correct.
Hopefully, I make it to my target, or rather I would say I will do it.
