advice me on choice of institute

by nehasaluja » Fri Jun 27, 2014 8:45 am
Hi GMAT Beaters,

many-2 congratulations to you all..I need a favor from your side on urgent basis.

Kindly guide me the best institutes for GMAT tutorials in Mumbai as I am new to Mumbai so I am finding it very difficult to find a good institute here by attending just a single free trial class.

I have to start the preparation and have the deadlines to give the GMAT in first half of September. And for the institute I am thinking to take admission accepts 720+ score.

Kindly guide. Waiting for your replies.

Thanking you...

Hi Neha,

When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are plenty of options to choose from (both on-site in Mumbai and online). My advice is to use all of the free resources that are offered (free classes, practice tests, trial accounts, etc.) from the various GMAT companies and pick the one that best matches your timeline, budget and personality.

Hi Neha,

I'm not sure you really need to take an in-person course. If you have until early September, that gives you over 2 months to study. I'd buy MGMAT NP, MGMAT SC, Powerscore CR, and OG13 and start tackling the concepts.

If you need a 720+, you'll need some serious mastery -- I'd recommend working with a private tutor to set up proper strategy for ALL question types, and help you analyze your weaknesses. Take 1 CAT a week -- I'd alternate the GMAT Preps 1 through 4 with the MGMAT set you get for free when you purchase their materials.

You need to know what you don't know -- and fast! Download the GMATPrep 1 and take your diagnostic, then complete an error log based on the attached template. Feel free to contact me after you have done so for more detailed advice. Or you can check out my blog for some strategy help: https://gmatrockstar.com/blog/

Best,
Vivian
