M=Z+4+ X Y Z
4 1 -5 M
E 7 N 10
F 2 -4 5
In the addition table shown above, what is the value of M + N =?
A. -19
B. 4
C. 5
D. 6
E. 22
N=Y+E
M+N = Z+Y+E+4 -equation 1
X+4 = 1; X=-3
Y+4=-5; Y=-9
X+E=7; E=10
Z+E=10; Z=0
thus M+N = 0+(-9)+10+4 = 5

Just to help others from getting confused as I did, I have created an image of it to make it understandable.
You can also look here for an alternate way...not so different but just for you to know

Wish I could do this more quickly.
Basically found that E=12 so that E+z=10 becomes 12+z=10 so that z = -2
Y = -9 so that E+Y = n, N=3
eventually got to M = 4+z which is 4-2 = 2.
n+m = 3+2=5

I didn't know what the heck is an addition table and got it wrong. But after understanding what the heck is this addition table, I think the quickest solution could be:
m + n
= (e + y) + (z + 4)
= (e + y) + ((10 - e) + 4)
= 14 + y
= 14 + (-5 - 4)
= 5
m + n
= (e + y) + (z + 4)
= (e + y) + ((10 - e) + 4)
= 14 + y
= 14 + (-5 - 4)
= 5
