From your post, I'm going to assume that the equation that you included is meant to be:
Z = 1 + (1/X) and X > 1
As X increases, the value of (1/X) decreases - so we'll be adding a potentially small fraction to 1. We can actually TEST THE ANSWERS here - and use the answer choices to our advantage (by considering the DENOMINATORS of each of the 5 answers). If X = 7, then we'd end up with Z = 1 + (1/7) = 8/7
Final Answer: E
