Initial balance = x
After $200 removed : x-200 = 3x/5
=> 2x/5=200
x=500
Amount deposited = (500-200)/4 = 75
Final Balance = $375
After $200 removed : x-200 = 3x/5
=> 2x/5=200
x=500
Amount deposited = (500-200)/4 = 75
Final Balance = $375

Given that when Jessica withdrew $200 from her bank account, her account balance decreased by 2/5, her balance now would be 3/5 of the initial balance = $3x/5
Thus, 2x/5 = 200 => x = $500
Thus, the balance now = 3x/5 = 3*500/5 = $300
After depositing an amount equal to 1/4 of the remaining balance ($300), the final balance would be 300 + 1/4 of 300 = $375.
The correct answer: B
Hope this helps!

We can let T = Jessica’s beginning balance. We can create the equation:
T - 200 = 3T/5
5T - 1000 = 3T
2T = 1000
T = 500
Therefore, her remaining balance after the withdrawal is 500 - 200 = $300. Since she deposits ¼ x 300 = $75 back into the account, her final balance is 300 + 75 = $375.
