Someone please explain why the answer should not be E.
In option C, it says that the novels contain many difficult worlds, while as per the meaning of the sentence, shouldn't it be that the novel contains many difficult words which Oliver is not able to understand.
There may be novels which may contain difficult words, but if Oliver can understand the meaning of those words, he wouldn't be disliking those novels.
