710 (Q48, V40)

by millerb09 » Sun May 01, 2011 2:57 pm
I am looking to go to the best school I can get into. I score a 710 92nd percentile. My Math was 83rd and Verbal was 89th percentile. I studied for 3 months straight and i don't think i can score better, so I'm done! I am a white male, 3 yrs of work experience in large investment bank. GPA is lower at 3.25/4.00 (3.0 last 2 yrs), but from a top 20 university. Am I competitive for a top 20 business school? I'm afraid my gpa and only 3 yrs of experience is a liability, but I hear a demanding finance job is more heavily weighted. What do you think?

Hey Congrats on the GMAT score! :)

I thnk you have very good chances.
3 years in banking plus an over 700 GMAT score. You have a strong profile buddy. Let us wait to see if any experts/experienced applicants reply.

It would be great if you can debrief about your GMAT experience here. :)
Vineesh,
Just telling you what I know and think. I am not the expert. :)
