710( 47 q, 41 v) Profile evaluation please

Hi ,

Could you please evaluate my profile and let me know schools that are within my range..?

Iam an Indian female...I graduated with an aggregate of 78% in Engineering discipline. Have been exceptional in school(Ranked second school in Xth and received 96% in XII - High school) .

I have a 6 years work experience with 1.5 years international experience (working in the US)I have been in the IT field and the clients I have worked for include a British telecom company and a major US credit card provider/bank.Thanks to my work , I have indepth knowledge about the credit cards/ banking system. I have received various awards from clients for excellence. I have been leading a team of nearly 10 people for the past 3 years.I was one of the youngest module leads in my project. I have worked in multiple places within the US. I have led many initiatives at work which has led to substantial savings for the client. I have handled almost 25 assignments which involved major business changes. I have been recognized multiple times by my employer and my client as a Star player.

I am a member of the interview panel for my company.Was the pioneer at my office for a popular public speaking initiative which is still going strong. Have been the key organizer of all events at office and also initiated the first ever event at client site (involving all clients) and received much appreciation for the same. I have initiated a movement that brought a local library into limelight and encouraged a book sale. I love travelling and am active member of the trekking club at my employer's. Worked with many charities when in College/work.

I have a GMAT score of 710.

Am looking at UNC Chapel , Darden , Tepper , UCLA, Cornell ,Ross,Emory,UT Austin ,Duke , Ross, Marshall.

Please let me know which among these are within reach , which are a stretch and which safe.
Appreciate your help and guidance.

HI Nidhi85,

Thanks for your post. You certainly have a solid profile. Your career trajectory is solid and your academics are also in good shape. The biggest challenge for you is going to be finding ways to stand out in the applicant pool and get noticed.

The good news is that you appear to have quite a bit of extracurricular activities. It's also great to see that you have so many leadership roles in these activities. As you begin to craft your essays I encourage you to think about how you can weave in stories from these activities - some may work in support of other topics, while others might indeed make for nice stand alone topics. The key is to strike a balance between professional and extracurricular examples.
