Took my test today... I knew that I was doing fine on quantitative. But verbal was a different story... After first 10 question, which I am pretty sure I answered most of them correctly, I had to guess several until the end... I did blind guessing on about 7 RC question and three out of 4 RCs were 50+ lines long and very boring n terms of their topics... Even CR were long and I had to guess a couple of them...
Here were my practice scores and actual results:
MGMAT Cat-1: 680 q48 v35
MGMAT CAT-2 :680 q47 v36
MGMAT CAT3: 680 q48 v35
MGMAT CAT-4: 700 q48 v38
MGMAT CAT-5: 720 q48 v40
MGMAT CAT-6: 700 q48 v37
So overall, scores is not very different than my practice tests. But question difficulty wise, real GMAT was easier on quantitative and very difficult on verbal. (After horrible performance on verbal, I was expecting a 650.)
Anyways, mission is over and I am happy that I will not have to take it again.

I took the GMAT in 2007 and had a 710 with Q-48 and V 40
The difference in your score and mine is a 1point drop in Q but a 2point rise in V. What were your percentage scores?? Would be interesting to see the co-relation if any.

humble - great score and a very desirable split (80% on both sections). you shouldn't feel like this GMAT experience was a draw - you should feel great that you did so well. now finish up those applications! good luck on the rest of your process

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right, but it will not come near you.
