760 Q49/V44

I just did the GMAT today and scored pretty well I think! I've lurked around here from time to time but thought I'd post after doing the GMAT.

Now I just have to figure out what schools are still accepting applications :)

My background is in physics and I like doing crossword puzzles so I wasn't too worried about the test. I got the Princeton Review book "Cracking the GMAT 2008" and the Kaplan 800 book as well and went through them both casually over the past 2 months. My online Princeton scores were something like 700, 710, 690, with the best score coming while I was talking on the phone - a stupid thing I know.

I actually didn't get to finish the math section as I ran out of time. I mainly got stuck on one particularly difficult question and lost track of time, then raced through the last few questions to try to finish. I had to guess on the second to last question, and didn't quite get to answer the last one, so I'm sure that counted against me.

Studying and books and courses aside, I think the thing that helped me most was how I like to do math and word puzzles in my free time - crosswords, sudoku, puzzle books etc. I don't really read many books, but I do read a lot of technical literature such as physics papers.

I'm kind of in desperate need for some advice on MBA programs and what not so I'm sure you'll see me browsing around here a bit more.
