Hi,
Just took GMAT test three days ago and came up with 680 ( Q 47, V 36). Quite confused really because I thought I did badly on quantitative section and did OK on verbal section. Turned out it was the other way round. I actually prepare for more than 4 months for the test albeit with on and off learning schedule. And therefore is a bit dissapointed with the score.
I am applying to the following schools: Oxford, Cambridge, LBS and HBS for 2009 intake and I feel that I need to take another test to improve the score to 700+ because GMAT is also needed as the criteria for scholarship application
I am now trying to look at good books for improving verbal score. So far, I see that a lot of people are recommending Manhattan GMAT verbal books (especially for SC).
Can you help me by telling me what are the good resources for the verbal section of the test. Also, is there any strategy for studying for verbal test while not forgetting the maths section as well.
Thanks in advance.
