I took my in-person official GMAT in May of 2023, and after 4 months of using TTP, I went from a 710 to a 760 (Q50, V44, IR8).

My Journey:

Let's rewind to March 2022 when I foolishly took the only two free mocks offered on the mba site with no preparation. Although these mocks established a baseline for me, I was in my last quarter/semester of undergraduate studies and had yet to figure out how to prepare for the official in-person GMAT. As expected, with my unstructured preparation plan, I scored the exact same 710 on the GMAT after "studying" for nearly 3 months. Feeling discouraged by the stagnant score, I decided to take a break.

Fast forward to January 2023, I started an internal rotation program for my full-time work, which gave me more consistent working hours. With this change, I had the freedom to dedicate my mornings to GMAT preparation. Based on a recommendation from a close friend, I decided to give TTP a try, and it turned out to be the best decision I made in my GMAT preparation journey. After purchasing the 4-month TTP course, I was fully committed to succeeding. I opted for the "Accelerated Study Plan," designed for those confident in their quant abilities, and chose the mission-based curriculum. With around 40 missions in total, I divided them into 10 missions per month or approximately 2.5 missions per week, marking them on my calendar to ensure I stayed on track.

Now, here's what I found to be the MOST helpful features of TTP based on my experience:

- TTP's platform is easy to navigate and provides excellent analytics, allowing you to track your progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in both Quant and Verbal sections;
- The mission and course layout is well-organized, emphasizing understanding rather than memorization. By interweaving Quant and Verbal material and regularly incorporating review tests, TTP ensures comprehensive learning;
- The course offers an extensive range of practice problems for each topic and difficulty level (easy, medium, and hard), making it easy to identify and target your weaknesses efficiently;
- TTP allows you to create custom tests by choosing specific topics and difficulty levels, which is helpful for reinforcing your weak areas; and
- Each topic includes video solutions that help you fully grasp the approach to each problem. Even if a problem doesn't have a video solution, you can use the "chat" feature within TTP to request a more detailed solution (they are very responsive).

Overall:

Ultimately, there is no "magic pill" that can miraculously increase your GMAT score without time and effort. However, TTP comes really close to it- it takes care of the course structure for you and provides a wide variety of practice problems with in-depth explanations for each solution, removing the friction from your GMAT prep journey.

At times, I questioned whether all the effort would be worth it, especially since TTP schedules all the practice exams at the end. I was uncertain about my "actual" progress in an exam setting: "What if after all this I score the exact same?" "Can I truly improve my score following a templated study plan?". However, now that I have completed the course, I can confidently say it was worth it. TTP structures its course this way for a reason- because it works. Thank you, TTP, for your wonderful course!
