square and ABE

ABCD is a square and ABE is an isosceles triangle with AE = BE. What is the length DE?
(1) Area of square ABCD is 100.
(2) Area of triangle ABE is 10.

1 - tells me that the side of the square is 10. Insufficient.

2 - tells me that AB*height of ABE = 10*2

Taking 1&2 together, we have the height = 2. Still we do not know DE since it will depend on E being inside or outside the square.

Hence, answer E

Stmt 1: Area of square =100, hence sides = 10, insufficient to calculate DE

Stmt 2: Area of triange = 10, Hence height = 2, insufficient to calculate DE

Putting them together: Not enough to calculate DE as no information is given whether E is inside the square or outside.

My answer E.
