Hi,

I am in the last month of my preparation for the GMAT

1> should i do 1000 series or GMAT sets?
2> I want to improve my Verbal score. So should i concentrate only on verbal part and solve 1000 series(CR,SC,RC)/ Gmat sets(Verbal) or should i work on the Full length tests.

Pls share your views.

Well you can do both :D . But if you absolutely have to choose then I would choose full length tests, as in that way you can practice both quant and Verbal and fix timing issues, if any.

While studying for my GMAT I made a mistake of spending a lot of time solving the 1000 series and in the end I dont think it made a lot of difference and I think it would have been better if I had spend time on understanding the questions that I had already solved rather than solving new questions. Also it is said that many answers to the 1000 series are incorrect, if that is true, you would just end up confusing yourself. So long story short according to me you should be focusing on quality full length tests.

Cheers

Please clarify this for me....

1. I had downloaded Clinton's material from the net... Among other material it had quant. exercises numbered 1 to 40. These are 30 min each with about 20 ques. per set. Are these what is being refered to as GMAT sets ? In any case... how are these for practice ? ( I have solved two sets and found them to be a little easier than actual GMAT ques so am confused ???)

2. The 1000 series so to say... the one I downloaded has only verbal ques. ?
Is there a 1000 series for qunt. too ??

Please demystify... thanks

The old GMAT sets refer to full-lenght quant and verbal tests and not the individual sets for each area....
