1000 sc 838

The underlying physical principles that control the midair gyrations of divers and gymnasts are the same as the body orientation controlling astronauts in a weightless environment

(A) as the body orientation controlling

(B) as the body orientation which controls

(C) as those controlling the body orientation of

(D) ones to control the body orientation of

(E) ones used in controlling the body orientation of
What actually is the issue with D and E. I've eliminated because I can see C is the correct choice and both d and e sounds weird to me, but I don't have any proper reason for their elimination.
I'm no expert, just trying to work on my skills. If I've made any mistakes please bear with me.

I'm between C and E, Can't eliminate E, but D is not parallel with the first part of sentence.

1000 SC has to be taken with a pinch of salt! All said and done, lets see what we have here:

"underlying physical principles that control the midair gyrations of divers and gymnasts" "are the same" "as..."

So 3/2 split seen here

"as" and "ones"

as can be used to describe some action or say comparison, so acc to me "as" is the appropriate word here.

Ones is usually used to objects, say"apples on the basket are sweet, while the ones on the table are sour!(My generic idea about the usage of "ones" is this)

Hence, A B C

It is "the physical properties" that control the body and not "the body orientation"

C gives a clear though process!
You can, for example never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to!

Hi hemant_rajput,

This SC focuses on Comparisons; this is a rule that, by definition, involves Parallelism too.

The prompt requires you to compare something that is the same as "underlying physical principals that control...." The word "as" doesn't make sense here. The word "ones" COULD make sense if the rest of the phrase was parallel, but neither D nor E are parallel. The only answer that offers a valid comparison is C; it compares "underlying physical principals" with comparable things (in this case, "those controlling the body orientation").
