First of all, a big thanks to all 50 candidates who participated in the 2007 Beat The GMAT Scholarship, sponsored by Manhattan GMAT and Stacy Blackman Consulting. Our judging panel was super impressed by the quality of the entries this year-it was a tremendously difficult task picking 5 winners from this pool because so many of you had compelling stories to share…

Without further adieu, here are this year's winners:

  1. Fernando - fernandonefro
  2. Rajen - RajenBP
  3. Danielle - gothedistance
  4. Jessica - jberg
  5. Matthew - SigGolfer

Again, I want to emphasize how impressed we were with your entries this year. We wish to congratulate everyone because we realize that it takes a lot of courage to share your story with people whom you've never met-hopefully you all found this experience to be rewarding. At the very least, you now have a head start on your business school apps-a lot of the content you used for this competition can be re-purposed for your applications.

Please help me in congratulating Fernando, Rajen, Danielle, Jessica, and Matthew! We hope that these folks will use these resources to achieve their dreams and in turn make a big difference in the world.

Thanks!

Thanks for all of the congratulations. I'm very happy to have the second place prize given to me and I will be attending the courses live perhaps in one to two months.

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for being awarded the second place prize. It may be valued at $1,790, but in my mind having this sort of support in getting into a top quality B-School is priceless.

My only regret is that there can be only five winners as I think everyone deserves this sort of opportunity to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Oh, for what it is worth, my essays can be shared, although I am not sure how helpful it would be as my essays speak about returning to business school after having 3 children and putting my husband through b-school which is very rare.
