UT-Houston; Investment Banking Opportunity?

by gtg279v » Mon Mar 18, 2013 3:37 am
Anyone know if this is possible out of the UT-Houston program? I'm interested in Oil & Gas.

Thanks, in advance, for your insight!

Hi gtg279v --

It's definitely possible - McCombs reported that around 14 graduates went into investment banking last year. We can't see how location (Houston vs Austin) would matter but that would be a question to pose directly to the school. Obviously i-banking is a competitive field and McCombs is not top-of-mind for IB in general, but you're picking a great program when it comes to the energy specialization.

We often recommend that candidates go directly to the schools with questions like this. Let the school pitch you! Contact their Career Services team or go to an admissions event and see what they say.

Best of luck!
