The value of M

by ronsom » Fri May 21, 2010 1:54 am
I'm sure the answer would not require me to calculate the 3rd and 4th root of 4... but how do I estimate? The value could be less or more than 3 by a small fraction!

V4=2
and 4^1/4=V2=1.4
so 4^1/3>1
and should be greater than 4
ans option E

You're right. you don't need to calculate the 4th root of 4. Only recognize that it's greater than 1.
This is QID 1022
