Regarding the first two questions, you may have to check with the concerned schools.
2 months time is generally sufficient to prepare but much depends on the individual. You can take a GMAT prep test to see where you stand. From there you can plan for your preparation. Keep your target score in mind and plan your efforts accordingly

Hi Priya:
Welcome to the community
Prasanna's advice is spot on, as usual. I would check with your target schools to make sure they will accept a "late" GMAT submission. One thing to keep in mind is that your timing will allow you to take the GMAT just once; there probably won't be enough time to retake, so be sure to prepare well! Please leverage this community during your studies!
Best of luck to you.

The majority of schools require you to have taken the GMAT by the application deadline. So if, for example, a deadline is Oct 15th, you have to submit your complete application by that day, including test scores.
If you do not yet know the deadlines, then you need to download the applications of the schools to which you want to apply ASAP. It can take a couple of months to complete a great application.
