I took the gmats for the 2nd time yesterday after taking a kaplan class, doing ALL THE WORK and taking all the tests and getting lower than my initial diagnostic exam at the kaplan center. I can take the class again for free because of their better score guarantee, but my spirits are very low.

I went up in both areas, I increased my verbal from 69% 6 weeks ago to 78% yesterday and saw no increase in my score so naturally i'm very confused. I went from 55% to 53% in Q but that does not counter balance the 9 percentage point increase in verbal.

Anybody have idea on how that works?

anyway, i think what happened is that I was doing really well in quant and getting crazy hard questions that were really hard to solve and taking longer than the 2 mins needed and so i ran out of time and guessed on the last 4. I never ran out of time in practice, but whaddya are you gonna do.
