UG- BE Electronics and Communications
GPA- 3.45/4
Work ex- 2 yrs till date
Prop Trading
Job Title- Derivatives Trader Analyst
Trading major Commodities (futures and options)on US and European exchanges for a London based Prop trading house
in India
ECAs- volunteer work for an NGO now associated with it for 6 yrs
Rest usual college involvements nothing spectacular
Achievements-full tuition fee scholarship for 4 yrs in BE for academic performance
Questions:
1> As Trading involves no teamwork , leadership work etc that you find in a normal job
how to show those things in the essays. yes working for that NGO has given me some experiences to share
but nothing substantial .
2> Achievements at a Trading FLoor are all associated with the profit /loss u make .yes i have made a good chunk
but any tips how to write those in the essays
3> Regarding B school selections ..(cost is a Big Factor for me )
i am currently looking at ISB,NUS (only factor is they r less costly than us b schools )
Any suggestions on which US bschools i can look at?
4> Last any opinions/suggestions u can give on my profile based on this brief summary ?

First of all a big congratulations to you on your awesome GMAT! this is definitely the way to start off your application.
That plus the solid grades you gave will lay a good basis. As far as your industry goes, having finance experience is great, even if trading is less highly considered than IB/VC/Consulting. And even without teamwork or leadership you can get into a good Bschool. What's the caveat? - show that you are successful. Are you one of the BEST traders in your company? And can you PROVE it??? That will make your profile a lot stronger.
